What are you waiting for? Are you waiting for the perfect time? The perfect opportunity? The worse 3 words in the realm of succeeding is
“I WILL WHEN”
“I will when” I finish school. “I will when” I meet that special person and start my family. “I will when” I save up enough money. “I will when” I…. fill in the gap. A word of advise. How old are you? Has the time happened yet?? How long have you been waiting? How much longer will you wait? Opportunity knocks but I guarantee you that it will not be on your front door. You have to get out there and find and create opportunity. If you are waiting for the “right” time, you may have to wait a longggggg time.
You have to make your time. You need to develop work ethic that other people notice even when you don’t say anything. Create your own “luck.” Stop admiring the success and join the team. I can’t tell you what you need to do to succeed. It’s different for everyone. Find what you love to do and figure out a way to monetize it. Whether it is a new job, a new career, a new business. You see the recurring word. “NEW” You have to do something new if you want something new. Change creates change. Stagnant creates static. Maybe you’ll have to lose sleep. Maybe you’ll have to miss a few family events. Maybe you’ll have to stay in when everyone invites you out. Maybe you’ll have to stretch yourself and do something that you’ve never had to do before. Meet someone that you never considered meeting. Look for a mentor that’s doing what you want to do.
We will never be perfect and there will never be a perfect time to do anything. you have to create your time. Create your moment. But what you need to do will be different for everyone. Is it a scary path? ABSOLUTELY!!! Because you will have to leave your comfort zone. But success lies outside that zone. That’s why not everyone has and is willing to do it but everyone can do it. Confusius said.
“Whether you believe you can do a thing or not, you are right”
“The virtuous man is driven by responsibility, the non-virtuous man is driven by profit.”
Create your own time and more importantly believe you can and be driven by what you love and the end result. Profit is a side result of doing the work and what you love to do. Not the purpose. You cannot solve your current problem with the same thought process that created it. We are creatures of habit. We continue to create good or bad unknowingly acting in a way that can be describe as insanity by “doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.” Make a change. Commit to a decision. And pursue it and do not stop until you have made your “Perfect Time”
